Here we are, no filters, just us, two husbands celebrating 10 years together. Babe I think we did it? In fact we did the impossible. When I knocked on your shoulder summer of 2010 in Mykonos we were so young, you were an aspiring artist living in London with a car company, like an Uber before Uber, and I was an up-and-coming real estate agent in NY with what some might say too big dreams. During our first night together ? the very initial contract from Bravo came in via fax at the hotel and I tried to explain to you why I was excited about it. We married as soon as it became legal in the State of New York. But you could still not stay, because gay marriage wasn’t legal on a federal level. We tried to be understanding of the change happening while giving respects to the previous generations fighting for this basic right. Every three weeks you had to leave back to the UK. I’ll never forget when our marriage was accepted by everyone in the US, that June when people were dancing on the streets of New York, it was actually the same week as our wedding episode aired. And you could come home permanently. It might feel long ago today, but I look at our kids and I can see all the struggles back then in a good way. You had Kai who I instantly loved and I wanted kids of our own too and told you about the dreams of this little girl I called Milla as long as I could remember. But then when our surrogate Misty became pregnant with twins I started seeing visions of a little boy and girl holding hands in the distance – she was going to have a brother! 10 years later you are my Big D, my sex on legs, my best friend and my daddy angel. We traveled the world together, literally, and spiritually. Kids, dogs, nannies, our Monkey, big families, careers, Stockholm, London, New York and now Los Angeles. You are always so kind, so helpful, so generous, even when you are overwhelmed which is easy with me. You always take the time to listen and never, ever judge. I’m so incredibly thankful that you picked me – you could have had anyone. Love you ?‍?‍?‍? #pridemonth

SOLD. Today I closed one of the biggest deals in LA this month asking $29,995,000 with only two months on the market. High-kick! – Every day someone asks me if moving to LA from NY was the right choice so here it goes…. First off, we love California. I can go on about the sun, hiking, the twins in the pool, the parks, the food, the beaches, the sunsets, my convertible sex-on-wheels car, the 0 humidity bla bla … Yes, it’s true what they say about Cali and it’s lifestyle! – I do miss my friends in New York. Of course there’s that special drum and energy in NY and deep down I’ll always be a New Yorker. Who says you can’t love New York and live in LA? But let me be honest, one thing I don’t miss is the winter in NY. I already hated it in Sweden growing up.?? – Professionally, the move to LA was a little more difficult at the start. I felt like a salty Swedish fish out of water. Naturally I had a lot to learn and a lot of people to meet. I realize now just how much I used to identify myself with being the top dog in NYC and having to start over more or less in LA. I ruffled some feathers as you’ll see on MDLLA this season but I’ve also made a lot of friends and feel just at home in LA as I do in New York professionally today. The best of course is to be active on both coasts as the buyer-pool is increasingly the same anyway and the sellers want exposure everywhere. – Let me just add how grateful I am for Derek‘s support with all of this (and?). And my team (especially Marcy and Andreas on this one) – it’s going to be a big year for us so buckle up. The real estate market in NY is also finally waking up as we had over $25M in contracts signed this week alone – and about 50+ team listings about to launch! Love ??Freddy

It’s a Swedish tradition for the birthday boy to be woken up super early to eat cake in the bed with the family after singing. Milla and Freddy made birthday cards and instantly got a crazy sugar high and started jumping up and down like mini kangaroos. The best gift was the Golden doodle puppy named Cash arriving in four weeks, Derek had planned it all behind my back. Cash will play with our little wiener dogs Fritzy and Mousey – as soon as the lockdown is over. We miss them so much but they’re living their best life in our country house in Connecticut with all those beautiful grounds to roam around and lots of love and attention. Soon we will all be together again. Every year gets better, truly, 43 feels so good and I’m eternally grateful. I get very emotional when I think of all the love and blessings, especially the kids that have entered the cutest age ever and they are not even 2,5 yrs yet. Maybe time for more… ?Xx
